Dr. Pam Takeuchi (Apple Valley, MN) “I am a general practitioner who uses traveling board certified surgeons for our more complex surgical cases. I have worked with Dr. Lara Rasmussen for over 15 years. I have trusted and had confidence with everything Dr. Rasmussen has said and done. She was available for phone or email consults on cases or radiographs and always willing to answer my questions. I had a case of a young kitten whose humerus was broken when someone accidently stepped on it. The owners didn’t have a lot of money, so she had me splint the leg to the body and the leg healed without surgery. Even now, she reminds me she is available to answer surgery questions if I have any.

Education is very important to her. She had monthly to quarterly FAQs or informational handouts on a variety of topics that we would put up in the clinic for the staff to read. The discharge instructions that she had us send home to our clients were very detailed. She also would email pre-op instructions and FAQs for owners and our staff to access. My staff and I miss working with Dr. Rasmussen and she would be an asset to any practice that needs a boarded surgeon.”
